Thompson Twins are looking back at their career with a new release.

Industry & Seduction, dropping Oct. 31, is described as “the definitive career-spanning collection” from the group, best known for such songs as “Hold Me Now,” “Lay Your Hands on Me” and “Doctor Doctor!”

The set is the first compilation the band, now made up of Tom Bailey and Alannah Currie, has curated themselves. It will be released in a variety of formats, including two-LP colored vinyl and single CD, both of which feature 20 of the band’s singles, all remastered.

There will also be a three-CD deluxe version with 40 tracks, made up of deep cuts, rarities and more, including songs from Bailey and Currie’s 1990s electronic dance music group, Babble. It also includes the first CD release of the live album Into the Gap Live.

“It’s exciting to finally have a retrospective from beginning to end,” says Currie.

“People want the hits, but on a three-CD package, it’s nice to also have the weird stuff and a live disc,” adds Bailey. “I think everyone will be happy.”

As a preview, Thompson Twins have released a 2025 remaster of the song “Roll Over,” a track that only appeared on the U.S. version of their 1985 album, Here’s To Future Days.

Jay-Z‘s proposal to build a casino in New York City’s Times Square has been denied. Deadline reports the Community Advisory Committee voted 4-2 against the bid he submitted with Roc Nation, Caesars Palace and SL Green Properties to build a casino at 1515 Broadway.

Jason Laks, the president of The Broadway League, said in the statement that the decision will “protect the magic of Broadway for the one hundred thousand New Yorkers who depend on it for their livelihoods, and for the tens of millions who come from around the world to experience it.”

“A casino can go anywhere, but Broadway only lives here,” he continued.

The vote comes days after Jay-Z described what he saw as the casino’s benefit to the city.

“There is only one Broadway, and we respect that. This project isn’t about taking away from Broadway – it’s about strengthening it,” he told City & State New York. “Casino visitors will buy tickets, fill seats, book dinners before shows, and keep hotels in the area full. The things Broadway needs – more ticket sales, added security, cleaner streets, and jobs that support workers between shows – are what this project will make possible.”
