Bruce Springsteen has pushed back the release date for his upcoming box set, Nebraska ’82: Expanded Edition, dedicated to his 1982 solo album.

Originally scheduled for Oct. 17, Springsteen revealed on Instagram that the set will now come out one week later, on Oct. 24, “due to delays in production.”

Nebraska ‘82: Expanded Edition will feature previously unreleased material, including the long-rumored “Electric Nebraska.” There are also solo outtakes, including additional songs from Springsteen’s original Nebraska home recordings that didn’t make the album, as well as recordings from a 1982 solo studio session.

The set also features a 2025 remaster of the album and a present-day recording of Springsteen performing Nebraska in its entirety at New Jersey’s Count Basie Theatre, with the performance also included on Blu-ray.

Nebraska ‘82: Expanded Edition will be released in four-LP plus Blu-ray and four-CD plus Blu-ray configurations. It is available for preorder now.

The new release date means the set will come out on the same day as the movie Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere, which focuses on the making of Nebraska. It stars Jeremy Allen White as Springsteen and Jeremy Strong as his manager, Jon Landau.

Dolly Parton‘s sister sought to reassure fans on Tuesday after asking them to pray for the living legend earlier in the day.

Late Tuesday, Freida Parton took to Facebook to clarify that Parton was simply “a little under the weather” and not seriously ill, as some on social media had speculated.

“I want to clear something up. I didn’t mean to scare anyone or make it sound so serious when asking for prayers for Dolly,” Freida wrote in her post. “She’s been a little under the weather, and I simply asked for prayers because I believe so strongly in the power of prayer.”

She added, “It was nothing more than a little sister asking for prayers for her big sister.”

Freida finished by thanking fans for supporting Dolly, writing, “Your love truly makes a difference.”

The new comments came hours after Freida wrote in a Facebook post that she had been “up all night praying” for Dolly.

Dolly has not publicly disclosed the nature of her health issues. A source close to Dolly told ABC News she is doing well and continuing to work.

Freida’s Facebook post comes a little more than a week after Dolly announced on social media that she was postponing her upcoming Las Vegas residency due to health concerns.

On This Day, Oct. 8, 1980…

Talking Heads released their fourth studio album, Remain in Light, which wound up being their final album with producer Brian Eno.

The record, which blended African funk with electronics, peaked at #19 on the Billboard 200 chart, their highest charting album at the time.

Remain in Light contained the future Talking Heads classic “Once in a Lifetime.” Although the song didn’t initially land on the Billboard Hot 100, a live version from the soundtrack to their iconic 1984 concert movie, Stop Making Sense, proved to be more popular, and landed on the Hot 100.

KPop Demon Hunters girl group HUNTR/X doesn’t exist except in animated form, but the women whose voices brought their hit songs to life appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday night.

The trio — EJAE, Rei Ami and Audrey Nuna — appeared for a few seconds on Saturday Night Live Oct. 4, but on The Tonight Show, they hit the couch for a chat with Jimmy and then gave their first full performance of their #1 hit “Golden” live on TV for the first time.

The trio said being on SNL was “insane,” with Rei noting, “The 10-year-old in me just came to life being on set … it kinda reminded us of being in theater camp.”

After sharing stories about how their newfound fame has led to crazy experiences — like seeing a 5-year-old singing “Golden” at H Mart and an elderly man performing the song on a traditional instrument outside a Korean subway station — Audrey said, “This movie has affected us all so much on an emotional level.”

She added that she “bawled her eyes out” at the premiere because of the Korean representation in the film.

EJAE shared that she got the idea for “Golden” in her car on the way to the dentist. And later, in the studio recording it, she claims she saw a ghost. She added that there’s a myth in the Korean music industry that “if you see a ghost while recording a song, it’s a hit.”

Fallon wrapped things up by presenting the trio with a Platinum plaque for the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack, commemorating that it’s been RIAA-certified for sales of a million copies.

While the Hall of Fame didn’t mention who would be inducting or performing for which of this year’s inductees, it is significant to note that in 2020 Carlile recorded an EP with the surviving members of Soundgarden for Record Store Day. In addition, Momsen performed at the 2019 Los Angeles tribute concert for the band’s late frontman Chris Cornell.

And Letterman also has a strong connection to Zevon. In 2002, after revealing he had been diagnosed with mesothelioma, Zevon was the sole guest on an episode of Letterman’s The Late Show where he made his final public performance. He passed away in September 2003.

The 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony is happening Nov. 8 in Los Angeles, and will stream live on Disney+ starting at 8 p.m. ET. ABC will also air a highlights special on Jan. 1 at 8 p.m. ET and it’ll be available the next day on Hulu.

Don’t even think about talking to Miranda Lambert until she’s had her morning cup of joe.

The superstar admits she’s relatively charm-free until she’s had her morning dose of caffeine.

“I love coffee. I’m actually not nice until I have it,” she reveals. “My husband knows that, so he usually like hands it to me in silence in the bed, like, ‘Have your charm, honey.’ But yeah, I love coffee.”

While a lack of coffee may make her cranky, Miranda’s not picky about what kind she drinks.

“I will kinda drink any kind, but I’m also just, like, on the bus [I’ll drink] simple Folgers and some cream, you know, keep it simple,” she says.

Miranda’s keeping her schedule fairly simple for the rest of 2025. She plays Boots in the Park in San Juan Capistrano, California, on Oct. 18, with a couple more shows still to come in December.

Artwork by the late Grateful Dead founder Jerry Garcia is being highlighted in a new dice game.

Jerry Garcia’s Cosmic Journey, a collaboration between Jerry Garcia’s family and game designers Twogether Studios, is being described as “an easy to learn dice game for people of all ages.”

Fun for up to eight players, the game has folks taking a journey through Jerry’s art, collecting “Bummer” tokens on the way. After there are no more tokens to collect, the participants begin their journey home, with the first one to get rid of all their “Bummers” declared the winner.

“We’re excited to partner with an independent company full of creative and imaginative individuals,” says the rocker’s daughter Trixie Garcia. “It’s been a true grassroots effort, and we’ve enjoyed seeing it grow into something that will bring people together.”

“My dad’s legacy lives on through moments of joy, laughter, and connection,” she adds. “Like music, games foster community, and Jerry Garcia’s Cosmic Journey is a whimsical way for fans to keep that spirit alive wherever the road may lead. Let’s get together and play!”

Jerry Garcia’s Cosmic Journey is available for preorder now.
