Snoop Dogg is being taken to court for allegedly posting a viral video on Instagram without permission.

The “Drop It Like It’s Hot” rapper is being sued by FreedomNews.TV for using copyrighted footage of a protestor scaling a New York City office building, according to Billboard.

The lawsuit filed Monday in Los Angeles federal court stems from an incident in April during which a protester fell to the ground while attempting to climb the façade of JPMorgan Chase’s headquarters in Manhattan.

The post, which Snoop titled “Dummy of the Week,” has been viewed more than 4.5 million times. He’s being accused of violating the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, which prohibits the removal of “content management information” used on copyrighted works.

“Defendant purposefully failed to include the video credit originally conveyed with the video in order to mislead the public into believing that defendant either owned the video or had legitimately licensed it,” FreedomNews.TV wrote in the lawsuit.

Prince Michael Jackson is carrying on the historic legacy of his late father by hosting the annual Thriller Night Halloween costume party at the Jackson family estate.

Michael’s youngest son has teamed with Taj Jackson, son of Tito Jackson, to design an immersive haunted house for the event on October 29th at the Jackson Hayvenhurst mansion in Encino, California.

“I’m so excited to to host our event this year; although we had a virtual event with Omarion in 2020, there’s magic on the Hayvenhurst property and it’s so great to be able to share it with everyone after we’ve been cooped up for almost a year,” Prince Michael says in a statement. “Every year we try to out do ourselves and this year I think we’ve done just that!”

For the first time, guests will enjoy live performance during Thriller Night. Chris Tucker will deliver a stand-up comedy show, and two-time Grammy winner Elijah Blake will sing.

There will also be a Legacy Room featuring Michael Jackson‘s most memorable costumes from both the “Thriller” and “Ghost” videos, and an exhibit showcasing of some of his awards, including the plaque for selling 100 million units of the landmark Thriller album.

Thriller Night will benefit Prince Michael Jackson’s non-profit organization, The Heal Los Angeles Foundation. Tickets can be purchased on the foundation’s website.

Måneskin has premiered the video for the band’s new single, “MAMMAMIA.”

The bloody clip finds each member of the Italian outfit fantasizing about killing vocalist Damiano David in various different ways, including drowning him in a toilet, stabbing him, and beating him with a guitar. Mamma mia, there’s a lot of blood.

“MAMMAMIA” dropped earlier this month. It follows Måneskin’s breakout singles “Beggin'” and “I Wanna Be Your Slave.”

Flavor Flav is in trouble once again for domestic violence.

The Public Enemy co-founder was arrested earlier this month in Henderson, Nevada, on a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery, according to TMZ.

The alleged victim, who has not been identified, claims that he grabbed her and threw her to the ground.

Flav’s attorney, David Chesnoff, told TMZ, “In alleged domestic violence cases, there are often 2 sides to the story, and we will explain our side in the courtroom and not in the media.”

This is the fourth time Flav has been arrested for domestic violence.

In 2012, he pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor domestic violence charges for assaulting his then-fiancée Elizabeth Trujillo and threatening her teenage son with a knife.

In 1991, Flavor pleaded guilty to assaulting his then-girlfriend Karen Ross, which resulted in a jail stint and losing custody of his children at the time. Two years later, he was arrested again for domestic violence, along with cocaine and marijuana charges.

As news of his arrest was being reported, the 62-year-old former reality TV star declared Tuesday on Instagram that he’s been sober for one year.

“1 year up, lotz more to go,” Flav wrote. “Next year I pray my whole family will be walkin the same path I am.”

The new era of Christina Aguilera is upon us…or should we say, “la nueva era?”  She’ll release a Spanish-language single this Friday.

On Twitter, Christina announced that the song is called “Pa’ Mis Muchachas” — which translates to “For My Girls” — and that it features Latin stars Becky G, Nicki Nicole and and Nathy Peluso.

This will be Christina’s first Spanish-language release since Mi Reflejo more than 20 years ago. The singer, whose father was born in Ecuador, told ABC Audio that it’s “my labor of love for a part of my culture and part of me that’s so important, that isn’t always brought out in my English music.”

Christina also told ABC Audio that in addition to the new music she’s putting out this fall, she’s also planning to release new music “throughout next year, in sort of six-song increments every six moths.”

Christina’s last album was Liberation, back in 2018.  It reached the top 10 on the Billboard 200 and earned her two Grammy nominations.

Leave it to Lil Nas X to break the rules. Instead of thanking fans on social media for making his song “Industry Baby” number one, he took to the streets to thank them live and in person.

LNX posted footage of himself riding around Hollywood in one of those hop-on hop-off open-topped tourist buses, armed with a microphone, a film crew and dancers wearing pink “prison jumpsuits.” 

“I appreciate you! I’m so thankful for you! ‘Industry Baby’ is number one because of you!” LNX yelled to random people on the street, who cheered, danced, took pictures and even twerked.

“wow! here were are, 3 number 1 songs! when i was writing industry baby i hadn’t released any new music in over a year,” Nas wrote on Instagram. “It became my manifestation song, because i knew that no matter what people thought would happen to me (post 2019), i would have an amazing 2021! industry baby is my fight song, my motivation song, my ‘i’ll show you’ song, and much more!”

“Thank you to my brother jack harlow who inspires me to this day,” he went on to say of his “Industry Baby” collaborator, adding, “thank u to the fans who made industry baby your song of the summer! love u guys!”

Meanwhile, Jack Harlow has some news of his own: He’s returning home to Louisville, KY this December for five “No Place Like Home” shows in five iconic Kentucky venues: The Palace Theatre, Headlners, Zanzabar, Mercury Ballroom and Old Forester’s Paristown Hall. 

Tickets for the shows, which run December 14-18, go on sale to the general public Friday at 10 a.m. ET via JackHarlos.tix.to.  A dollar from each ticket sold will go to five Louisville charities that benefit causes close to the “Whats Poppin” rapper’s heart.

Bad Wolves are offering a sneak peek behind their upcoming album Dear Monsters via a computer game.

The game is a lot like Where’s Waldo?, if instead of trying to find a certain bespectacled person in a colorful area, you need to find wolves in a dark, red-tinged mansion. If you find three of them, you’ll earn a preview of an as-yet-unreleased song off Dear Monsters.

Duran Duran come face to face with their younger selves in their new video for their recent single “Anniversary” — when they aren’t partying with what appears to be some of the world’s most famous people, that is.

The clip, filmed in a historic British castle that dates back to the 11th century, shows a massive party attended by the likes of Daniel Craig, Elton John, Lady Gaga, Pamela Anderson, Victoria Beckham, Jennifer Lopez, Kim Kardashian, Brad Pitt, Vladimir Putin and Queen Elizabeth II — except it’s not really them at all: It’s a cast of celebrity lookalikes.

The party is also attended by actors dressed like Duran Duran circa 1983, who are seen meeting and posing for photographs will their present-day real-life counterparts. As the actual members of the group mingle with the guests, the ’80s version of Duran Duran takes the stage to lip-sync “Anniversary.”

The video was directed by artist, photographer and filmmaker Alison Jackson, who says in a statement, “I’m thrilled to have been asked by Duran Duran to make their music video — creating an iconic party for their 40th anniversary, bringing celebrities together from past and present.”

On October 21, Duran Duran and Jackson will appear in a livestream event that includes a live Q&A, followed by the global premiere of Double Take, a half-hour documentary that gives fans a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the “Anniversary” video. You can buy tickets via Dreamstage now.

“Anniversary” is from Duran Duran’s latest studio album, Future Past, which will be released this Friday, October 22.
