As a record executive, Clive Davis was responsible for signing and nurturing the careers of some of music’s biggest stars, from Bruce Springsteen and Billy Joel to Whitney Houston and Alicia Keys.  Now, he’s going to showoff some great performances from those stars in a new docuseries premiering March 23 on Paramount+.

Clive Davis: Most Iconic Performances is a four-episode series that had its origin in the pre-Grammy virtual events Davis staged in 2021 when his famous Grammy party was canceled due to COVID-19. It includes full archival concert performances along with personalized introductions from Davis, and exclusive interviews with the featured artists. A fourth episode will include extended versions of those interviews.

Viewers will see concerts from Tina Turner, Alicia Keys, Rod Stewart, Bruce Springsteen, Paul Simon, Joni Mitchell, The Bee Gees, Aretha Franklin, Queen and Prince, among others, as well as interviews with Bruce, Rod, Alicia, Barry Gibb, Oprah Winfrey, Paul, Queen‘s Brian May and Roger Taylor, Joni and Carole King.

“These interviews stand out among my proudest achievements,” Davis says in a statement. “They’ve received phenomenal response, presenting these all-time artists in a light never seen before. The performances are truly iconic indeed, jaw-dropping in every way.”

Before she was a pop star, Tate McRae was a champion dancer, so it’s no surprise that she’s one of the celebs who’ll be appearing on the upcoming ABC special Step Into…The Movies with Derek and Julianne Hough.

The special will focus on the most iconic dance moments on film — think Dirty Dancing, Saturday Night Fever, Singin’ in the Rain, Moulin Rouge!, Chicago and more — and will feature the Hough siblings and guest stars reimagining those scenes “through a modern lens.”

Tate is one of the guest stars, which is appropriate, since her current video “she’s all i wanna be” was inspired by the dance movie musical A Chorus Line.  Prior to her breakthrough with “you broke me first,” Tate was the first-ever Canadian finalist on So You Think You Can Dance, and she was also named Best Female Dancer multiple times at the annual Dance Awards.

Other stars taking part in the special include Kevin Bacon, Charli D’Amelio, Jenna Dewan, Oscar nominee Ariana DeBose, John Stamos and former Glee stars Amber Riley and Harry Shum Jr.

Moulin Rouge! director Baz Luhrmann, Chicago director Rob Marshall and filmmaker/choreographer Kenny Ortega, who did the choreography for Dirty Dancing and High School Musical, among other films, will also appear.

Step Into…The Movies with Derek and Julianne Hough airs March 20 at 10 p.m. on ABC.

Here’s some news that likely will interest AC/DC fans in the U.S. who like to rock out while sipping a brewski or two: A new beer inspired by the legendary Australian band is now being shipped to 33 states.

AC/DC For Those About to Rock Ale was created by high-end collectible company KnuckleBonz in collaboration with the Bay Shore, New York-based Great South Bay Brewing company.

The new brew is a cold-fermented Australian lager made with native Aussie hops and cane sugar, with an alcohol by volume content of 5.9%. The ale, which is the latest offering in KnuckleBonz’s Limited Edition Beverage Series, is described as having “a clean citrusy hop profile, a subtle malty sweetness, and a bright straw color.”

The beer’s name, of course, is a reference to AC/DC’s 1981 album, For Those About to Rock (We Salute You), and the can’s design features a cannon like the one that appears on the record’s cover.

For Those About to Rock Ale can be ordered online via KnuckleBonz’s distribution partner Half Time Beverage.

Last year, KnuckleBonz teamed with the CaliCraft Brewing Company to introduce two other AC/DC-inspired beers: AC/DC PWR UP Juicy IPA and AC/DC TNT Double IPA.

Atlanta rapper Alyssa Stephens, known by her stage name Latto, took to her Instagram in a series of posts to promote her upcoming single, “Wheelie,” and revealed the name of the song’s featured artist — 21 Savage.

After weeks of teasing the new track, the rapper posted the single’s cover photo on Tuesday. It shows Latto sporting an all-black cut-out ensemble and standing in a militant-like fashion alongside her fellow Atlanta-based rapper.

Latto first teased the new track four weeks ago by re-posting TikTok videos to her Instagram of users dancing to the few-seconds preview. The post’s caption read, “This mf ain’t even out yet!#WHEELIE”.

On Monday, Latto posted another video teaser, this time of her sitting in what looks to be a music studio and pointing out hints, written as text on-screen, as to who the feature artist might be.

Fans and celebrities alike celebrated the news, leaving the fire emoji symbol under Tuesday’s album cover post.

“Wheelie” with 21 Savage drops this Friday.

Kelsea Ballerini shares the Dolly-ism that has stayed with her since her first conversation with Dolly Parton

Kelsea Ballerini shares the Dolly-ism that has stayed with her since her first conversation with Dolly Parton
ABC

Kelsea Ballerini duetted with living legend and fellow East Tennessee native Dolly Parton on the stage of this week’s ACM Awards, and the younger star shared her excitement over the duet with a series of photos and video clips that she could only describe as “The Dolly Dump.”

In one of those videos, Kelsea asks Dolly, “How long does it take to do your hair?” To which Dolly responds, “How would I know? I’m never there.”

It’s a classic Dolly-ism, and far from the first time Kelsea’s gotten to be on the receiving end of the country legend’s notorious wit. On ACM night, Kelsea told Cosmopolitan that early on in her career, she interviewed Dolly for a Q&A Series.

At the end of all the “thoughtful questions about how East Tennessee impacted her music and what it’s been like defying the odds and being such a successful woman in country music,” Kelsea had one more question, she remembers.

“My very last question was, ‘Dolly, how do you play guitar with your nails like that?’ She looked at me and deadpanned, ‘Good. I play it real good.’”

All these years later, sharing the stage with Dolly at the ACMs was “full circle,” Kelsea continued. The pair sang “Big Dreams and Faded Jeans,” off of the companion album to Dolly’s brand new book, Run Rose Run.
