Violet Grohl, the eldest of Dave Grohl‘s daughters, has premiered her debut singles.

The tracks are called “THUM” and “Applefish,” and are out now via Bandcamp.

“I’m beyond excited to finally share a little bit of what I’ve been working on over the last year,” Violet shares in an Instagram post. “I made these tracks with the most bada** group of musicians, so happy they’re finally yours.”

Violet, 19, previously sang on a cover of the X song “Nausea” with her dad, which was released in 2021. She’s also sung live with Foo Fighters and performed “All Apologies” during Nirvana‘s reunion performance at the FireAid benefit concert in January.

The Hollywood Reporter reported in 2024 that Violet was working on her debut album.

Michael Bublé has duetted with quite a few country stars over the years, like Shania TwainWillie NelsonDolly Parton and Carly Pearce. But now he’s diving headfirst into the genre with a new country album.

Michael appeared on the latest episode of the Not Gonna Lie podcast, hosted by Kylie Kelce — Taylor Swift‘s future sister-in-law. He revealed, “I love country music, and I have loved country music my whole life. … I went to Nashville. I have a producer named Dan Huff … and I have made a love letter to country music. And it’s old school. It’s not, like, modern. It’s my interpretation.”

“I have never had an experience that has been better musically,” he raved. “I’m so excited to put out this record. I don’t know if 10 people are going to love it, but I don’t care because I feel like I earned the right to make a beautiful record.”

Michael listed some of his country bona fides, like those duets with Willie and Dolly; the fact that he’s recorded songs by Kris Kristofferson and Hank Williams; his friendship with Blake Shelton, who scored a huge country hit with Michael’s song “Home“; and the fact that the first song he ever recorded was one by Patsy Cline.

Michael said he has no idea when the record will come out because it isn’t finished yet.

Carly told ABC Audio in 2024, after she recorded a Christmas duet with Michael, that he was a true country fan. “I feel like a lot of people just come in [to country] because they’re like, ‘Country’s easy … put a banjo on it. It’s fine.’ And I take great offense to that,” she said. By contrast, she insisted that Michael “absolutely understands what the genre is [and] what these songs mean.”

Garbage’s Shirley Manson has some thoughts about beach balls at concerts

Whatever the opposite of a “#1 Crush” is, that’s what Garbage‘s Shirley Manson has on fans who bring beach balls to concerts.

Manson came across one such fan during Garbage’s current tour of Australia and, as seen in footage posted to the band’s Instagram Story, decided to share how she really felt.

“Guy with your big f****** beach ball, ooh, I’m so scared of you, so thrilled by you,” Manson mocked. “What a f****** d****bag.”

Manson then expanded upon her anti-beach ball opinions in a post to Threads.

“I make NO APOLOGIES whatsoever for getting annoyed at beachballs at shows,” Manson writes. “I joined a band because I HATED THE F****** BEACH. I joined a band because I wanted to listen to Siouxsie and the Banshees and The Cure and be dark and beautiful.”

“Continue listening to Spotify and toss your stupid beach balls around like you are ten years old,” Manson adds. “I love the musical community and I want to respect their artistry. I am so tired of folks taking music for free and treating us all like circus performers.”

Perhaps Manson’s distaste for beach balls shouldn’t be too surprising; after all, one of Garbage’s biggest hits is called “Only Happy When It Rains.”

Garbage released a new album, Let All That We Imagine Be the Light, in May. They wrapped up a U.S. tour in support of the record in November, which they said would mark their “last North American headline tour.”

The Beatles are back on the Billboard charts thanks to Anthology 4, the new addition to the band’s Anthology series, which was recently reissued.

Anthology 4 features 36 tracks, including 13 previously unreleased demos, session recordings and more. It debuted in the top 10 on five Billboard charts, including both the Top Albums Sales and Top Current Album Sales charts, where it landed at #9.

The album is also at #7 on the Top Rock & Alternative Albums chart, #6 on the Top Rock Albums chart and #3 on the Indie Store Album Sales chart.

Anthology 4 was released as a standalone and was also part of the larger The Anthology Collection box set, with both debuting at #48 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart. The Collection includes the first three Anthology releases, which originally came out in the ’90s, and hit #1 on the Billboard 200 and the Top Album Sales chart.

The release of The Anthology Collection coincided with the Disney+ debut of the newly restored and remastered version of the Anthology documentary series, which aired on ABC in 1995. The new version was expanded from eight to nine episodes. A 25th anniversary edition of The Beatles Anthology book was also released in October.

Coco Jones received a 2026 Grammy nomination in November for her debut album, Why Not More? It’s her eighth Recording Academy nod to date, all of which she worked for but never quite expected.

“I don’t expect these things — but I do, but I don’t,” she told will.i.am during a conversation for Uproxx. “Because you’re working towards a goal. I’m not working like, ‘Hope nobody hears this! Period!’ I’m working towards goals. But I also know I can’t control anything but me. So it’s like, yes, and no.”

“I’m not going to sit here like, ‘I knew that, I knew that, I knew that,'” she continued. “If I could tell the future, I’d be a bajillionaire!”

Coco shares that she puts in the “work like I want to receive those awards” and is relieved when she gets recognized.

“If things get nominated, if they get recognized, if they get love — even from my fans — I’m like ‘whew!’ Because that was hard as hell,” she says. “In general, I hold everything to a really high standard, and I hope that people agree that it’s high quality stuff.”

Why Not More? was released in April with appearances from YG Marley, London on da Track and Future. She tells will.i.am that Jazmine Sullivan and PartyNextDoor are among her desired collaborations.

“I love Jazmine Sullivan, and I feel like we would do something soulful and sickening together. I also love PartyNextDoor,” she said. “I love modern R&B, that’s super chill and super laid-back and cool as hell. Because I feel like I’m not ‘cool as hell,’ I’m just ‘real as hell.’ I think that’s my vibe, but I want to do something ‘cool as hell.’ Mysterious.”

Miley Cyrus revealed an unusual phobia on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Thursday.

The singer said she has a fear of paper, specifically when dry hands are touching it, which makes Christmas an unhappy holiday for her.

“Christmas, I’m known as a little bit of a Grinch because I have a qualm with Christmas. I hate paper,” she said. “The real problem for me with paper is when people have dry hands and they touch paper and then it’s Christmas and it’s cold and everyone’s hands are dry and they’re all touching paper.”

Miley admitted the phobia is getting worse and she’s looking into treatment for it because it’s affecting her everyday life — but her new fiancé, Maxx Morando, has been helping.

“Someone gets an Amazon box, I’m sick, because the cardboard is the worst of it all,” she said. “It’s extra dry and there’s packaging within it. That’s the best part, that’s really why I got engaged, because I just make my fiancé open all the packages outside.”

When Kimmel joked that the first wedding anniversary is paper, Miley responded, “Uh-uh, not here!”

Miley confirmed her engagement in an interview with ABC’s Chris Connelly that aired on Good Morning America Wednesday. She was previously married to Liam Hemsworth.

Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau are globe-trotting together and meeting important figures along the way.

Perry and Trudeau posed with former Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and his wife in a photo posted to social media on Thursday by the former Japanese leader.

The prime minister referred to Perry as Trudeau’s “partner” in a social media post about the meeting.

“Former Canadian Prime Minister @JustinTrudeau visited Japan with his partner and joined my wife and me for lunch,” wrote Kishida, in a caption translated from Japanese to English.

“During his time as prime minister, we met multiple times as fellow leaders, and when I visited Canada, we worked together to strengthen bilateral relations, including formulating the ‘Japan-Canada Action Plan,’ sweating it out side by side,” he continued.

Trudeau responded to the photo on social media, adding, “Katy and I were so glad to have the chance to sit down with you and Yuko. Thank you, Fumio, for your friendship and your continued commitment to both the international rules-based order and to a better future for everyone.”

Kishida served as the 100th and 101st prime minister of Japan, serving from October 2021 until October 2024. Trudeau resigned as Canada’s prime minister earlier this year after serving a decade in the role.

Trudeau and Perry have not publicly commented on their relationship.

Perry recently split from Orlando Bloom, with whom she had been in a relationship since 2016 and to whom she became engaged on Valentine’s Day in 2019.

In June, People reported that Perry and Bloom have “gone their separate ways” after a nearly decade-long relationship.

The pair welcomed their first child together, Daisy Dove Bloom, in August 2020.

Trudeau announced his separation from his then-wife Sophie Trudeau in August 2023. They had been married since 2005 and share three children together — Xavier, Ella-Grace and Hadrien Trudeau.
