After season 29 win, Adam Levine to return for ‘The Voice’ season 30

Alexia Jayy, a member of Adam Levine’s team, won The Voice season 29 on Tuesday night, and now Adam has confirmed that he’s returning to the show for season 30.

He told People, “I will be back. I’m having so much fun doing it. Since I came back a few seasons ago it’s just been a blast and I’m super happy to keep it going as long as they’ll have me.”

Season 30 will air this fall. The other coaches haven’t been revealed yet. Season 29 was positioned as The Voice: Battle of Champions, with past winning coaches Adam, Kelly Clarkson and John Legend all competing to have one of their team members take home the title.

Season 30 will mark Adam’s 19th on the show. An original coach, he stepped away from the show in May 2019, and then returned for season 27. He skipped season 28, then came back for this season.

As for Adam’s day job, he and Maroon 5 have a show in May in Puerto Rico, and then a run of concerts in the U.K. and Europe through June and July, including an appearance at BST Hyde Park in London with OneRepublic. Their most recent album, Love Is Like, came out last summer.

“She’s So Gone,” but we know where she’s headed: Dasha’s set to perform her Main Street Country track Friday on The Kelly Clarkson Show.

Dasha’s contribution to the new Disney covers EP comes from a 2011 TV movie.

“I think ‘She’s So Gone’ is one of the most iconic songs to come out of Disney Channel,” the “Austin” hitmaker says. “I remember watching Lemonade Mouth for the first time and the whole movie had me plotting how I was going to reinvent myself before school the next day.”

On July 3, Madonna will let us hear her ‘Confessions II’

After wiping her Instagram and teasing her new album, Madonna has now released details of Confessions II, the long-awaited sequel to her 2005 album, Confessions on a Dance Floor, or, as a press release puts it, a “continuation.”

The album, due July 3, is available for preorder on multiple formats, including CD, vinyl and cassette. She’s shared a snippet of a trancy song in which she whispers, “Thanks for coming. Sometimes I like to just hide in the shadows. Create a new persona. A different identity. I can be whoever I want to be. Honestly, I wish I could be like other people and just not care. But out here, on the dance floor, I feel so free.”

We then hear a male voice say, “Oh, by the way, it all started like this.”

In a statement, Madonna recites lines that are said to be the lyrics of one of her new songs, “One Step Away”: “People think that dance music is superficial, but they’ve got it all wrong. The dance floor is not just a place, it’s a threshold: A ritualistic space where movement replaces language.”

She continues, “When [producer] Stuart Price and I first started working on this record, this was our manifesto: We must dance, celebrate, and pray with our bodies. These are things that we’ve been doing for thousands of years — they really are spiritual practices.”

“After all, the dance floor is a ritualistic space,” she continues. “It’s a place where you connect —with your wounds, with your fragility. To rave is an art. It’s about pushing your limits and connecting to a community of like-minded people.”

Confessions II is Madonna’s first album of new material since 2019’s Madame X.

Phil Collins’ children, including Lily Collins, congratulate him on Rock Hall induction

Some of Phil Collins’ children, including two who are acclaimed actresses, have taken to Instagram to congratulate him on his Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction.

Lily Collins, star of Emily in Paris, wrote on her Instagram Story, “You did it! Couldn’t be more proud of you, Dad. What an incredible achievement and SO insanely deserved. Love you to the moon and back.” Lily is Phil’s daughter with his second wife, Jill Tavelman.

Meanwhile, Phil’s other daughter, Canadian actress Joely Collins, wrote on Instagram, “So incredibly proud of you Dad for being inducted into the @rockhall. WAY TO GO!!!!! (Finally!).” Joely, who Phil legally adopted, is the daughter of his first wife, Andrea Bertorelli.

Phil’s son Nic Collins, who took over drums for his father on the final Genesis tour, wrote on Instagram, “So proud of you dad. Incredibly deserved and long overdue. You’re my hero!” Nic is Phil’s son with his third wife, Orianne Cevey.

In the comments of Nic’s post, Jason Bonham, son of legendary Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham, wrote, “Next to my Dad Phil is my Drum Hero . I’m so glad that he will be inducted into the Hall of Fame.” Lily added, “BEYOND.”

On his Instagram Story, Nic’s brother, Matthew Collins, posted a picture of Phil and wrote, “So proud of you.”

In all, Phil has five children: Lily, Joely, Nic, Matthew and Simon Collins. Simon is the son of Phil and Andrea.

The 2026 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place Nov. 14 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, and will be recorded for broadcast in December on ABC and Disney+.

Zach Top’s rarely ‘South of Sanity’ thanks to his tribe

Reigning ACM new artist of the year Zach Top grabbed five nominations for the upcoming 61st Academy of Country Music Awards, second only to Chris Stapleton as the male artist with the most chances to win.

In February, the “South of Sanity” hitmaker won his first Grammy for best traditional country album for Ain’t in It for My Health.

So how does he stay grounded amid all the acclaim?

“There’s a bunch of people that kind of bought into my little dream before it was working,” he explains, “and they believed in me and saw me before I was anything. So they do a good job of being encouraging and supportive. And then also if it’s like, ‘Hey, you’re acting like a dummy,’ then, you know, they’ll tell me that, too.”

“You know, between family and my management and so many of the people that I work with [who] were in on it so early, it feels nice that we’ve all got to see it build the whole time,” he continues. “It’s a good reminder to, like, be thankful for every little thing, don’t get too caught up in all of it.”

“It’s like, ‘Remember when we were just hoping we could do anything like this?’ And now we get to be playing on a stadium stage.”

And play stadiums he does. Zach’s set to play Jones AT&T Stadium in Lubbock with George Strait April 24, before he steps onstage at Sanford Stadium in Athens, Georgia, with Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean April 25.

He’s up for male artist, album for Ain’t in It for My Health, plus song and single of the year for “I Never Lie” at the ACMs May 17 in Las Vegas. If he wins, he’ll pick up two trophies for song of the year, as both artist and one of the writers.

Tedeschi Trucks Band explores ‘different sounds’ with ‘Future Soul’ album

Tedeschi Trucks Band recently released their sixth studio album, Future Soul, and according to guitarist Derek Trucks, their aim was to try something different this time around.

The band’s previous studio offering — a conceptual quadruple album called I Am the Moon, recorded during the COVID-19 lockdown — left a lot of room for sonic exploration. In contrast, Future Soul is a decidedly song-focused record, forgoing the extended jams for a tighter and more angst-filled collection of 11 songs.

“We felt like the curveball this time would to be like short and sweet, concise,” Trucks tells ABC Audio, “instead of doing four albums, do one.”

He says to do that, he and his wife and bandmate Susan Tedeschi brought on producer Mike Elizondo and went into the record thinking, “Let’s try to find some different sounds.”

“It felt much more, I believe, aggressive,” he says. “Especially the drum sounds and everything. And it makes you lean a little different and play a little different.”

As for the writing process, the former Allman Brothers Band guitarist says when the band gets together, ideas and sounds start floating around. But he notes, “There’s always a few songs in everyone’s back pocket.”

“It was a really fun record to make,” Trucks says. “I’ve never done a record quite like that, where it was just every song felt like it would probably be the best song on other records, which was fun.”

Tedeschi Trucks Band are currently on tour and play Fort Worth, Texas, on Wednesday. They are also booked to play New Orleans Jazz Fest on May 3. A complete list of tour dates can be found at TedeschiTrucks.com.
