Chappell Roan hangs out for hours in Aussie dive bar like ‘a normal human,’ says owner

Chappell Roan took advantage of some downtime in Australia to hang out at a legendary dive bar, where the owner reports that she acted just like “a normal human.”

Chappell is part of the Laneway Festival tour, which played Sydney on Sunday and will move to Melbourne on Friday. According to James Young, the owner of Cherry Bar in Melbourne, Chappell and her crew stopped by the establishment on Wednesday and stayed for more than two hours.

In his social media post about the visit, James wrote that at the time of Chappell’s visit, there were only about 17 customers in the bar. “Didn’t take any pictures of her, cos that would be uncool, but can report that she drank a couple of mocktails and was very modest, polite and lovely,” he wrote, noting that she didn’t “hide” in the VIP bar.

“She stood the whole time at our main bar downstairs. This means everything. We think she’s the biggest artist on the planet. She thinks… she’s just a normal human. Gold,” he wrote. “Her crew were especially supportive of Cherry Bar, so that was nice too.” He added, “Also I was DJing tonight, so it was very satisfying to see Chappell embracing the ‘local sounds’ of underground Australia.”

According to Billboard, Cherry Bar is an institution, having first opened in 1999 at a different location, and has hosted drinking sessions by the likes of Metallica and Noel Gallagher of Oasis. The bar has also booked multiple artists before they blew up, including Billie Eilish and Charli XCX.

Michael Bublé speaks out after mass shooting in Canada

Following the mass shooting in Tumbler Ridge, Canada, that left eight people dead, Michael Bublé, who is from British Columbia, the same Canadian province where the shooting took place, posted a heartfelt message on Instagram.

Michael called the shooting “devastating,” adding that his “heart is broken for the families and loved ones who are facing the kind of grief no one should ever have to endure.”

“As a father, a senseless tragedy like this hits in a place that is hard to put into words,” he continued, going on to say, “I can’t begin to comprehend the pain they are living through.”

Michael, a native of Burnaby, British Columbia, wrote that his “deepest prayers” are with the “parents, students, teachers, first responders and the entire Tumbler Ridge community … and everyone affected by this unimaginable act of violence.”

“One of the things that defines us as Canadians is how we show up for each other even in the darkest moments,” he concludes. “And now more than ever, we must come together and support one another, as our neighbours navigate this unfathomable loss and heartbreak.”

On Wednesday, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney announced seven days of mourning, with flags being flown half-staff across all government buildings.

Tumbler Ridge is located roughly 730 miles northeast of Vancouver.

Luke Combs enlists Cody Johnson & Alison Krauss for ‘The Way I Am’

Luke Combs’ upcoming sixth studio album clocks in at more than twice the length of a traditional record, and includes superstar contributions from Cody Johnson and Alison Krauss.

“Super pumped to share the 22 song track list for my new album The Way I Am that will be out next month,” he wrote on Instagram. “Track 19 ‘Be By You’ releases this Friday, February 13.”

Luke co-wrote all but three of the songs. He collaborated with Cody on “I Ain’t No Cowboy,” while Alison features on “Ever Mine,” which was penned with Hailey Whitters and Charlie Worsham.

Fans can also look forward to discovering how Luke delivers on clever titles like “Alcohol of Fame,” “Daytona 499” and “Wish Upon a Whiskey.”

Wiz Khalifa announces limited-run The Macrodose tour

Wiz Khalifa has announced his upcoming The Macradose tour, a limited-run series taking place across the U.S. in April.

Rapper 2 Chainz, Berner and DJ Bonics will join as support.

Marketed as a “special 4/20 celebration tour,” the road show will make stops in Gautier, Mississippi, on April 15; Bentonville, Arizona, on April 17; Wichita, Kansas, on April 18; and Morrison, Colorado, on April 19.

Two different ticket presales start Thursday, with the general sale starting Friday.

Foo Fighters continue to tease new music with updated website

Foo Fighters have updated their website as they continue to tease new music.

If you head to FooFighters.com, you’ll be greeted with an image of a wall decorated with various Foo Fighters posters, some of which will play music if you click them.

In one clip, you can hear Dave Grohl sing, “Lately I don’t hear a sound,” while in another he sings, “Turn the cameras off.”

The Foos also posted the wall image to their Instagram alongside the caption, “Consider this an evaluation.”

The website update marks the third new music teaser from the Foos over the past week. Previous posts were captioned “This is just a test” and “Of a broken broadcast system.”

Foo Fighters released two new singles in 2025, “Today’s Song” and “Asking for a Friend.” The band’s most recent album is 2023’s But Here We Are.

In between, the Foos parted ways with drummer Josh Freese — who joined in 2023 following the 2022 death of Taylor Hawkins — and recruited Ilan Rubin, formerly of Nine Inch Nails.

Foo Fighters will launch a U.S. stadium tour in August.

On This Day, Feb. 12, 2007: The Police announce reunion tour during Los Angeles press conference

On This Day, Feb. 12, 2007 …

One day after reuniting for a performance at the 49th annual Grammy Awards, The Police held a press conference at the Whisky a Go Go in Los Angeles, where they confirmed rumors they would be reuniting for a world tour.

The band performed at the press conference, which was also billed as a rehearsal. They played such classic tunes as “Message in a Bottle,” “Roxanne,” “Can’t Stand Losing You” and more.

The tour would be The Police’s first tour together in over 20 years, and it marked the band’s 30th anniversary.

The reunion tour kicked off in Vancouver in May and featured four North American legs, as well as shows in Europe, Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Latin America.

It wrapped in August 2008 at New York’s Madison Square Garden.

Tame Impala announces summer US tour

Tame Impala has announced a summer U.S. arena tour in support of the outift’s new album, Deadbeat.

The trek kicks off July 7 in Miami, and will conclude Sept. 19 in Houston. Djo, who appears in the video for the Deadbeat track “Loser,” will provide support on the first half of the tour, while Dominic Fike will be on the bill for the second.

Presales begin Wednesday at noon local time, and tickets go on sale to the general public on Feb. 20 at noon local time.

Deadbeat, the fifth Tame Impala album, was released in October. It includes the single “Dracula” and the Grammy-winning track “End of Summer.”

Ludacris set to headline NBA All-Star Weekend

NBA All-Star 2026 is in for a taste of the dirty south with the appointment of Ludacris as the weekend’s entertainment headliner.

The NBA announced the “Yeah!” rapper will take center court in Los Angeles Saturday, February 14 for a “high-energy” performance ahead of the coveted Slam Dunk contest.

Fans can also catch a show from Luda on Friday as part of the NBA Crossover concert series taking place at the Los Angeles Convention Center. K-pop band CORTIS kicks off the Crossover series on Thursday while country star Shaboozey closes the series out Saturday night.

Prior to the 5 p.m. tip-off of the 75th All-Star game on Saturday, Grammy-winning R&B songstress Brandy will perform the U.S. national anthem. And on Friday, Chloe Bailey will perform both the national anthem and “Lift Every Voice and Sing.”

At the helm of the musical direction for the entire weekend is Emmy Award-winning musician Adam Blackstone who just celebrated his run as the director and producer of the 2026 Super Bowl pre-show.

Why Tim McGraw gives Faith Hill vases instead of flowers on Valentine’s Day

If you have a crush on Tim McGraw, it’s probably about to get a little worse.

Even after three decades with Faith Hill, he still works to keep it romantic on occasions like Valentine’s Day.

“I try to feel like it’s more of an all-year-round thing, but I try to do something,” he says. “Sometimes they’re better than others. It depends on how much time that I have or how lazy I’m being. But I do pretty well most of the time. Sometimes they’re bigger than others, sometimes they’re just very simple.”

Instead of sending flowers, however, Tim’s found an inventive option.

“Faith has a rose garden,” he explains, “so she loves being around a rose garden and cutting roses and stuff. So, I’ve been finding these antique vases to give her for several occasions. So those have been pretty cool.”

The “It’s Your Love” superstars will celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary on Oct. 6.

Foreigner co-founder Al Greenwood hopes band ‘goes on forever’ despite lack of original members

These days it’s not uncommon for classic rock bands to be out on tour despite having no original members still in the band. In fact, this summer Foreigner and Lynyrd Skynyrd are co-headlining the Double Trouble Double Vision tour, despite neither band containing any original members.

New York Magazine explores the idea of these tours in the new article “When Is a Band Not the Same Band Anymore?” in which Foreigner co-founder Al Greenwood argues in favor of such bands continuing.

Greenwood notes that despite a lack of original members in the current touring iteration of Foreigner, the band’s co-founder Mick Jones is still heavily involved in selecting new members for a tour.

“They’re very respectful of the band’s sound,” he says of the new players. “They ask a lot of questions: ‘How did we do this? How did you play that? What sounds did you get?’ They want to get it right.”

He notes, “We call it the Foreigner family.”

Greenwood, like original frontman Lou Gramm, turns up for occasional shows and says that there’s a good reason to “pass the baton” to new musicians: “We’re in our mid-70s or early 80s, so it’s hard for us to go out anymore.”

“I hope it goes on forever,” he says of the Foreigner name. “Let’s face it: The music really stood the test of time.”

And Greenwood is so behind the idea that he says he’d even want to see Mick Jagger and Keith Richards replaced rather than The Rolling Stones being gone for good.

“They have to go on forever,” Greenwood says. “If they could find people who can fill those shoes, that would be incredible because the music is brilliant. I wouldn’t like to not be able to see that music being played.”
