If you’re worried that Sam Mendes’ four Beatles films may get a bit repetitive, one of the actors in those films is here to ease your mind.

Adam Pally, who plays controversial music exec and one-time Beatles manager Allen Klein in the films, reveals in a new interview with The Direct that each film will be unique.

When asked to explain how different he thinks the films will be, Pally was careful with his answer, but did offer some insight.

“I will try to answer in the most allowed way possible, but I would say that they are totally different,” he said. “The way The Beatles were individually, totally different, and the movies reflect each Beatles’ tone, in a way.”

“So, they all go together beautifully, and then they also are all individually perfect in that way, you know?” he added.

The Beatles — A Four-Film Cinematic Event is set to open in April 2028. It stars Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Harris Dickinson as John Lennon, Joseph Quinn as George Harrison and Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr.

The Sony films will mark the first time Apple Corps Ltd. and The Beatles have granted a studio the rights to the life stories of band members and their legendary catalog of music.

Following Taylor Swift and Bad Bunny, Tyla is the latest Grammy-winning artist to be involved with Toy Story 5. Like Bad Bunny, she’s voicing a character in the film, but only in a certain part of the world.

Disney Africa‘s Instagram account announced that Tyla will play Inflatable Flamingo in the sub-Saharan version of the film, which will be seen in select African countries, including Tyla’s home of South Africa.

In a YouTube video that shows her recording her part, Tyla says of being involved in the franchise, “I just couldn’t believe that the offer was even presented to me. … I just grew up watching Toy Story — it’s such a big movie in my family. My parents love it, my whole family loves it. … So the fact that now we get to watch it and hear a little bit of my voice in it is insane.”

“I just remember growing up watching it, and trying to peek through a door to see if my toys actually moved,” she recalls.

Meanwhile, Taylor has contributed the song “I Knew It, I Knew You” to the soundtrack, while Bad Bunny will voice a character called Pizza with Sunglasses.

Disney is the parent company of ABC News.

If Soundgarden’s Matt Cameron is looking to pivot musical styles following his departure from Pearl Jam, we think he’d make a pretty good metalcore drummer.

We say that after watching the grunge icon rock out to Bad Omens in the latest edition of Drumeo‘s “For the First Time” series.

As part of the YouTube channel’s challenge, drummers are tasked with coming up with their own part to a song they’ve never heard before while playing along to a drumless version of the track. For Cameron, Drumeo chose the Bad Omens song “Just Pretend,” which, despite hitting #1 on both the Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay and Alternative Airplay charts, was completely new to him.

After a few takes, Cameron delivered a final “Just Pretend” performance that included some of his signature tom grooves that will be familiar to any Soundgarden fans.

“Bad Omens f****** rules,” Cameron declared after learning the identity of the band. “It’s a good song, man.”

At the end of the video, Drumeo showed Bad Omens drummer Nick Folio reacting to Cameron’s rendition.

“Wow, excellent job, Matt, that was awesome,” Folio responded.

Cameron announced his departure from Pearl Jam in 2025, ending his 27-year tenure with the “Even Flow” rockers. He later clarified that he’s “still an active musician” and will be performing at Tom Morello’s Power to the People festival in October.

Pearl Jam, meanwhile, is set to reveal their new drummer during their headlining set at Eddie Vedder’s Ohana Festival in September.

As for Bad Omens, you can catch them headlining Ohio’s Inkcarceration festival in July.

Katy Perry and her boyfriend Justin Trudeau made their red carpet debut Monday night at the premiere of Katy’s concert film Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour – Live in Paris at New York’s Tribeca Festival.  Katy posted plenty of photos and footage of the moment on her Instagram, but Justin’s own post included a sweet message to her.

On Tuesday afternoon, Justin posted a few photos of himself and Katy on the carpet, and wrote in the caption, “What a special night. Huge energy on screen, huge energy in the audience! So happy to be by your side, Katy.”

Katy joked in the comments, “it’s Katheryn to you, baby.” Katy’s birth name is Katheryn Hudson.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the premiere, Justin said he was excited to see the movie, because it documents Katy’s entire Lifetimes Tour set, from start to finish.

“I saw the show three times, but wasn’t really paying attention to anything but Katy,” he admitted. He laughed, “So I’m looking forward to seeing it tonight, for the first time!”

Katy also spoke to Entertainment Tonight about what it was like taking her daughter Daisy Dove Bloom with her on the tour. Katy said she wanted Daisy to be inspired by watching her mom do her thing in front of 20,000 screaming fans.

“When she gets to see me onstage feeing free and authentic, she’s just gonna be a little duplicate copy of me in her own little way, and we’ll see what that is, and I’ll support her along the way,” she said.

Jack White appears to have stealth-announced a new album.

The “Seven Nation Army” rocker’s label, Third Man Records, lists a new record titled Frozen Charlotte up for preorder on its website alongside a July 10 release date.

“13 tracks of distinct feel and tone, Frozen Charlotte is an intense rock and roll punch with never far behind blues underpinnings…all of which fits right at home with long time fans while leaving an inviting open door to newcomers alike,” the product description reads.

You can preorder your copy now via ThirdManRecords.com.

Listing a new album without any other announcement does fit in with White’s general MO — you may recall that his last solo effort, 2024’s No Name, was first released by surprise as an unlabeled record in Third Man Records stores before being made widely available.

White followed No Name with two new singles, “G.O.D. and the Broken Ribs” and “Derecho Demonico,” which dropped in April.

You can catch White live on a U.S. tour kicking off in July.

As the Italian cosmetics brand KIKO Milano moves into the American market, it’s tapped one of the world’s most famous Italian-Americans as the face of its new campaign.

Madonna is now a brand ambassador for KIKO, and stars in a new campaign, “The KIKO Show.”  According to Hypebae, it features The Queen of Pop wearing outfits from her 2006 Confessions Tour wardrobe, mixed with archival Yves Saint-Laurent looks.

Monday night in New York City, Madonna’s involvement with the brand was celebrated at a party that also marked KIKO’s arrival at select Macy’s stores.

KIKO chief brand officer Drew Elliott tells WWD, “KIKO Milano is a powerhouse brand, and it deserves a powerhouse face. Madonna is that person: she has Italian roots; she’s known for reinvention, for boldly being exactly who she is — and, many times, using makeup to do that. She is the KIKO girl.”

WWD reports that the campaign will also feature an exclusive remix of Madonna and Sabrina Carpenter’s duet “Bring Your Love.”
