Apple

Your Friends & Neighbors aired its season 1 finale Friday on Apple TV+.

The show, which stars Jon Hamm as fired hedge fund manager and thief Andrew “Coop” Cooper, was renewed for season 2 before the first episode dropped on April 11.

ABC Audio spoke to Hamm and his co-star Amanda Peet about what fans can expect in the second season, which is currently in production.

“We were very pleased to get that news from Apple,” Hamm said of the season 2 renewal.

Hamm said to prepare for things to get even more outrageous in the next season.

“I think we’ve established … over the course of the first season Coop trying to manage so many things that seem to be unmanageable. And I think that will hopefully continue in season 2. I think his life will become a little more stable. And yet at the same time, his situation will become a little more outrageous for sure.”

Peet said she was thrilled about returning for another season of the show.

“I feel so lucky that we got renewed. I just have never had that happen in my life,” Peet said.

At the time of the interview, Peet said she hadn’t been told what was going to happen in season 2, and that she was “dying to know myself.”

Peet offered up a few ideas and themes for where the series could go.

“I really like stories in which there is this constant theme or conceit where it’s like, ‘Do I really know you? Do I really? Is the person lying next to me — or who I’ve known for this many years — really who I think they are?’ So I think that’s really fun. How is that gonna unfold between Mel and Coop? I really, I can’t wait.”

Thirty years of Clueless? That’s totally buggin’!

Paramount Pictures has announced a global celebration for the 30th anniversary of the iconic ’90s comedy film Clueless.

The Amy Heckerling-directed movie was first released on July 19, 1995, and continues to have a strong fan base as the years go by. Because of this, Paramount Pictures has announced a slew of celebrations for the anniversary it’s dubbing Summer of Clueless, which includes a theatrical rerelease.

Clueless will return to the big screen nationwide in the U.S. on June 29 and June 30. Additionally, the film will head back to theaters in Ireland and the U.K. on June 27.

The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures will also host an anniversary screening of the film on June 7 as part of its limited series Teen Movie Madness! A star-studded panel of guests will participate in a conversation after the screening, including Heckerling, stars Alicia Silverstone, Elisa Donovan and Breckin Meyer, costume designer Mona May and casting director Marcia Ross.

The legacy of Clueless will also be acknowledged by the city where the film is set. Sharona Nazarian, the mayor of Beverly Hills, California, is declaring July 19 to be Clueless Day. The celebration will feature a street festival with themed photo ops, a costume contest, food trucks and more.

“While many iconic films have been set in our city, CLUELESS stands out, not just as a defining film of the 1990s, but as a cultural touchstone that continues to resonate with new generations,” Nazarian said in a statement. “Its legacy endures because it’s both stylish and sincere, and because it’s rooted right here in Beverly Hills.”

It’s time to say goodbye to the Crawley family in the teaser trailer for Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale.

Focus Features released the teaser for the upcoming film on Monday. It shows off the cinematic return of the Crawleys and their staff as they step into the 1930s.

“As the beloved cast of characters navigates how to lead Downton Abbey into the future, they must embrace change and welcome a new chapter,” according to its official synopsis.

This marks the third and final film based on the PBS period drama series created by Julian Fellowes. Simon Curtis directed Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale from a script written by Fellowes.

The familiar cast of characters includes Hugh Bonneville, Laura Carmichael and Michelle Dockery, joined by Paul Giamatti, Alessandro Nivola, Dominic West and Simon Russell Beale.

The late Maggie Smith‘s presence looms large in the trailer. A portrait of her character, Violet Crawley, hangs prominently in the mansion. We see an emotional moment where Dockery’s Lady Mary poignantly gazes up at it.

The trailer ends with Robert Crawley, played by Bonneville, kissing his hand and placing it on the side of Grantham Estate in a farewell gesture.

Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale arrives in theaters on Sept. 12.

Sydney Sweeney is selling soap made from her bathwater.

The actress has partnered with Dr. Squatch to create a soap that was made using water she bathed in.

“You kept asking about my bathwater after the @drsquatch ad… so we kept it,” Sydney wrote in a post shared to Instagram. “Introducing Sydney’s Bathwater Bliss! A very real, very limited-edition soap made with my actual bathwater.”

This new soap was inspired by her ad for Dr. Squatch Natural Body Wash, which featured Sweeney promoting the product while bathing in a tub filled with bubbles.

The product description on Dr. Squatch’s website says the soap combines “the two best places on the planet: The outdoors and Sydney Sweeney’s bathtub.” It is described as having a blend of outdoor serenity, with notes of pine, Douglas fir, earthy moss and a bit of Sweeney’s bathwater.

Sydney’s Bathwater Bliss soap will have a limited launch on June 6. Only 5,000 bars of the soap will be made. They sell for $8 each. Dr. Squatch is running a giveaway where 100 winners will receive the bar of soap before the official drop in early June.
