The Murder of JonBenét Ramsey has found a home at Netflix.
This already completed series was formerly known as Unspeakable: The Murder of JonBenét Ramsey. Paramount+ opted not to proceed with it in late 2025. Netflix has announced it picked the limited series up and will release it as a global original title this winter.
Melissa McCarthy and Clive Owen star as Patsy Ramsey and John Bennett Ramsey in the series. According to its official synopsis, the show centers “on one of the most infamous unsolved murder cases in American history, and the devastating personal and public reckoning that followed the death of JonBenet Ramsey on Christmas night in 1996.”
Richard LaGravenese serves as the series’ showrunner, writer and executive producer. Presumed Innocent‘s director Anne Sewitsky helms and serves as an executive producer alongside the show’s co-writers, Harrison Query and Tommy Wallach. McCarthy also executive produces.
Also starring are Emily Mitchell as JonBenét Ramsey, Garrett Hedlund as Det. Steve Thomas, Alison Pill as Det. Linda Arndt, Shea Whigham as Alex Hunter, Owen Teague as Shane Edwards, Clifton Collins Jr. as Det. Tom Trujillo, Angus Caldwell as Burke Ramsey and Jaime Ray Newman as Amelia Hunt.
Recurring in the series are Rory Cochrane as John Eller, Chris Bauer as Chief Tom Koby, Will Patton as Lou Smit, Jeremy Bobb as Pete Hofstrom, John Billingsley as Santa Bill McReynolds and Josh Stamberg as Reed Hunt. Additionally, Margo Martindale will guest as Nedra Paugh and Tzi Ma will guest as Dr. Henry Lee.

Danny Glover has publicly revealed he is one of the millions of Americans living with Alzheimer’s disease.
The 79-year-old actor rose to prominence in Lethal Weapon movies in the 1980s. He opened up to NBC News and People about his condition, saying he was diagnosed in 2023 and since then, his speech, movements and memories have gradually declined.
Even though some time has passed since his diagnosis, Glover told People, “I’m still not accepting in my mind all parts of it.”
“There are the moments that you keep remembering that validate the fact that you can remember stuff. And there are moments I’ll never forget,” he added.
ABC News has reached out to Glover’s representative for comment.
Alzheimer’s disease, the most common type of dementia, is a brain disorder that affects thinking, memory, and one’s behavior and abilities.
It’s characterized by symptoms such as short-term memory loss, problem-solving challenges and difficulty with everyday tasks, all of which may start appearing by the age of 60, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The condition is progressive, with nerve cell damage in the brain increasing over time.
Researchers estimate nearly 7 million people in the U.S. live with Alzheimer’s and the number of those impacted is expected to double by 2060.
Alzheimer’s is now the sixth-leading cause of death in adults 65 and older and the seventh-leading cause of death of American adults, the CDC notes.
There is currently no cure for Alzheimer’s disease but some medications and immunotherapies are available that may help slow down the progression of the condition, manage symptoms and improve quality of life for patients.

Disney has released the second teaser trailer for the third film in the Camp Rock franchise. It finds the Jonas Brothers returning as the brothers of the fictional band Connect 3, and will premiere to Disney Channel on Aug. 13 and Disney+ the next day.
While the first trailer focused on the familiar faces of Joe Jonas, Kevin Jonas and Nick Jonas, this new teaser showcases the next generation of campers taking center stage. It also features a first look at the film’s new song “One Beat Away.”
Camp Rock 3 follows Connect 3 as they lose the opening act for their major reunion tour. The band returns to Camp Rock with the hope of discovering the next big thing.
“As campers vie for the chance to open for their favorite band, tensions rise, and friendships are tested, leading to unexpected alliances, revelations and romances,” according to an official synopsis.
New cast members in the third film include Liamani Segura, Malachi Barton, Lumi Pollack, newcomer Hudson Stone, Casey Trotter, Brooklynn Pitts, Ava Jean and Sherry Cola.
The trailer shows Segura’s Sage finding Mitchie Torres’ old songbook covered in dust.
“I’m gonna be Connect 3’s opening act, and nothing’s gonna throw me off my game,” Sage says before she’s knocked to the ground by Barton’s Fletch.
Veronica Rodriguez directs Camp Rock 3 from a script by Eydie Faye. The Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato all executive produce the new film, although Lovato will not reprise her role of Mitchie. Wizards of Waverly Place star Maria Canals-Barrera is returning to portray Mitchie’s mother, Connie Torres.

It’s not summer without Big Brother.
CBS has announced the theme of season 28 of the hit reality competition series. The upcoming season will be known as Big Brother: Time Trip.
Season 28 turns time into the ultimate twist. According to a press release, the season’s houseguests “will enter a world where rooms, relics and competitions transport them across moments in time, while early twists shake up the game from the start. Inspired by decades like the ’80s and Y2K, new powers and challenges can disrupt strategy and alliances.”
The new season of Big Brother premieres on July 9. The special 90-minute episode kicks off a big premiere week. The premiere episode will be followed by the return of the show’s companion series, Big Brother: Unlocked, on July 10. Another 90-minute episode will air on July 12.
Julie Chen Moonves returns once again to host the show, guiding viewers through a season “where history is rewritten and anything is possible,” according to CBS. Season 28 will also include the milestone 1,000th episode of the series, making Big Brother the first primetime series to reach 1,000 original episodes.
Big Brother follows a group of people who live together in a house without the ability to leave it or access anything about the outside world. The house has dozens of cameras and microphones that record their every move, every second of the day. Each week a person gets voted out of the house, until the last remaining houseguest wins the $750,000 prize.
After its premiere weekend, Big Brother season 28 will air Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays on CBS. It will also be available to stream on Paramount+ the following day. Fans will also be able to watch the Big Brother live feeds on Paramount+ and Pluto TV.
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is headed to streaming. The animated movie based on the popular Nintendo franchise will make its streaming debut to Peacock on July 30. The sequel film features a voice cast that includes Chris Pratt, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Day, Jack Black, Brie Larson, Donald Glover and Glen Powell. The Reacher spinoff Neagley has received a release date on Prime Video. The new action series will premiere on Sept. 16. Some new actors are clocking in for a shift at The Pitt.
Pruitt Taylor Vince, Malachi Beasley, Cheyenne Perez, Jeremy Radin, Charlz Williams and Rosanny Zayas have joined the recurring cast of The Pitt season 3, ABC Audio has confirmed.
Vince will plat Lance Candella, an emergency department patient; Beasley will play student doctor Taj Osei; Perez will play student doctor Marisol Elena Sambrano Monterossa; Radin will play Grant Emerson, an emergency department patient; Williams will play Angus Gunn, an emergency department patient; and Zayas will play physician assistant Vera Delgado.
HBO Max renewed The Pitt for season 3 back in January. Each season of the series takes place over the course of a single 15-hour shift in the emergency room at Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center. Every episode takes place during one of the hours of that specific shift.
According to its official logline, “The Pitt is a realistic examination of the challenges facing healthcare workers in today’s America as seen through the lens of the frontline heroes working in a modern-day hospital in Pittsburgh.”
Season 2 of the medical drama starred Noah Wyle, Patrick Ball, Katherine LaNasa, Supriya Ganesh, Fiona Dourif, Taylor Dearden, Isa Briones, Gerran Howell, Shabana Azeez and Sepideh Moafi.
HBO Max announced that production on season 3 of The Pitt started on June 16.

50 Cent has another television series in the works at Starz. He’s teamed with the network for the television adaptation of Cullen Bunn and Jonas Scharf’s supernatural graphic crime novel Bone Parish.
Set in the underworld of New Orleans, the series will follow the Winters family, who build a criminal empire around a new drug that allows users to experience vivid, haunting visions of the past. As demand for the product grows, the family becomes trapped in what a press release describes as “a violent and inescapable nightmare of crime, horror, and family legacy.”
“I’ve always been drawn to stories that break the mold, and Bone Parish does exactly that,” 50 said in a statement. “It takes crime, family, and power, and mixes it with something dark and supernatural, in a way that feels fresh. Exploring what happens when the world of the living gets mixed up with the world of the dead, this story has incredible depth, and we’re building a series that’s going to keep audiences locked in from the first episode.”
50 will executive produce through G-Unit Film & Television with Stephen Christy and Mette Norkjaer from BOOM! Studios, the publisher of the graphic novel, as well as co-showrunners Diane Ademu-John and Declan de Barra.
Bone Parish is the latest addition to 50 Cent’s Starz shows, where Power Book III: Raising Kanan is currently airing. He also serves as executive producer on Fightland, which follows British-born boxer Duke Kilroy as he returns home from jail seeking revenge against the man he believes was responsible for his brother’s death. The show is set to premiere on July 31.
Two more of his shows, Power: Legacy and Power: Origins, have also been greenlit.

It seems Luca Guadagnino’s Artificial is being eyed to be released by Neon.
Deadline reports that Neon is in talks to pick up the film after Amazon MGM Studios decided it would no longer release it.
Neon did not immediately respond to ABC Audio’s request for confirmation.
Amazon MGM Studios confirmed to ABC Audio it would no longer release Artificial in a statement shared on June 19.
“We have the utmost respect and admiration for Luca Guadagnino as an award-winning filmmaker – not to mention a longstanding relationship that we hope to continue,” an Amazon spokesperson said in a statement at the time. “We believe that Artificial will be better served if it were released by a different studio and are working closely with the filmmaking team to find the film a new home.”
Artificial is described as a comedic drama about the world of artificial intelligence. It explores Sam Altman’s OpenAI during a period in 2023 when Altman was fired and rehired in a matter of days. It is directed by Guadagnino from a script by Saturday Night Live alum Simon Rich.
The film’s cast includes Mark Rylance, Andrew Garfield, Yura Borisov, Monica Barbaro, Billie Lourd, Jason Schwartzman, Cooper Koch, Cooper Hoffman and Ike Barinholtz.
It would have reunited Guadagnino and Amazon MGM Studios after he directed the 2024 film Challengers for the studio, as well as 2025’s After the Hunt.

Dylan O’Brien may just make his return to the small screen.
The actor is set to lead the Hulu comedy pilot Lex, Deadline reports. This would mark his first series role since he starred as Stiles on MTV’s Teen Wolf.
ABC Audio has reached out to Hulu for confirmation.
Lex follows the titular disgraced former reality star (O’Brien), who accidentally films a murder while making a $20 Cameo video. This finds Lex at the center of a global conspiracy and forces him to go on the run.
“Using the skills he acquired navigating reality TV’s toxic social dynamics, Lex must fight to not get killed, to expose the truth, and most importantly… to get back on TV,” according to a description from the outlet.
In addition to starring in Lex, O’Brien will executive produce the pilot. He will do so alongside its writer, Sean Clements, as well as Paul Simms.
Disney is the parent company of ABC News and Hulu.

Attorneys for Blake Lively said in a court filing Monday that Justin Baldoni’s production company, Wayfarer Studios, owes the actress $7,495,526.87 in attorneys fees connected to the studio’s defamation lawsuit against her, which was dismissed in June last year.
According to court documents, which were filed in a federal district court in the Southern District of New York, Lively is also seeking $539,514.01 in costs and expenses incurred in relation to the dismissed defamation case.
The filing comes two weeks after U.S. District Judge Lewis Liman denied Lively’s claim for punitive damages against Baldoni and Wayfarer but allowed the actress to seek attorneys’ fees under California Civil Code Section 47.1, a law designed to protect anyone who reports sexual assault, harassment or discrimination from retaliatory defamation lawsuits.
Esra Hudson, one of Lively’s lead attorneys in the case, wrote in Monday’s court filing that fees for her work on the case were discounted from her standard rate of $1,430.00 per an hour to $1,161 to $1,287 per hour over the course of the litigation.
Co-lead trial counsel Michael Gottlieb charged an average hourly rate of $2,187, according to the filing.
ABC News has reached out to representatives for Baldoni for comment.
In a statement to ABC News on Tuesday, Lively’s attorneys, Gottlieb and Hudson, said, “Thanks to this landmark decision, those considering using a lawsuit as a weapon of intimidation have been put on notice that there are consequences for doing so. The value of this ruling is in the precedent it creates, the accountability it imposes, and the protection it provides to those who may one day find themselves facing similar retaliation for speaking the truth.”
Monday’s filing is the latest in a long-running legal dispute between the former It Ends with Us co-stars, who first became embroiled in December 2024, when Lively filed a complaint against Baldoni with the California Civil Rights Department accusing him of sexual harassment on the set of the film, which he also directed. Lively also accused Baldoni and his production company of attempting to orchestrate a smear campaign against her, allegations Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios have vehemently denied.
The two subsequently launched dueling lawsuits against one another in the months that followed, with Baldoni accusing Lively, her husband, Ryan Reynolds, the couple’s publicist Leslie Sloane, and others of extortion and defamation, among other things. The lawsuits were consolidated into one suit in January 2025.
Baldoni’s lawsuit was ultimately dismissed by Liman in June 2025. The judge later gutted much of Lively’s case against Baldoni in April of this year, including claims she was subjected to sexual harassment on set, determining that she could continue to pursue her claims of retaliation against Baldoni’s public relations team.
Baldoni, via his Wayfarer production company, and Lively agreed to settle their ongoing dispute in May this year. Liman ruled at the time that Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios must pay Lively’s attorneys’ fees but denied Lively’s claim for punitive damages.
