Rihanna‘s collaborated with lots of artists throughout her career, but will any of them appear during her Super Bowl halftime show? T.I. says he “will not confirm or deny any potential appearance” at the football game Sunday.

“It’s an awesome opportunity. It was awesome to have the opportunity to work with such an iconic figure and such a prolific individual and such a beautiful spirit altogether,” he says in an interview with Billboard. “We’ll see what happens.”

T.I. broke through in 2001 with the release of his debut, I’m Serious. More than 20 years later, he has been named one of Billboard‘s 50 Greatest Rappers of All Time, has a Trap Muzik song interpolated by Drake and is reflecting on the release of hit song “What You Know.”

“I remember how fast I recorded it — it was extremely fast,” he recalls. “As soon as [producer] DJ Toomp came in and played some records, as soon as I heard that beat, I knew that was it. I just went in there and did it. Everybody knew this was the first single. That was probably one of the most obvious first listens I’ve ever experienced.”

Nowadays, T.I.’s acting and taking on comedy gigs, but his interest in music still remains. He’s working on a collaboration with Dababy for the Fear soundtrack, as well as his last album, Kill the King, which he agrees has to be A1.

“Perfection is necessary. I kind of have to put an exclamation point on this career that has taken me to heights that I never imagined and led me places that really surprised me,” T.I. says. “I never thought I’d be in some of the great positions that I found myself in. This would be the exclamation point, and I have to do it.”
