A Boogie wit da Hoodie and Kodak Black are back with part two of their 2017 hit “Drowning.”
“Water (Drowning Pt.2)” is now available on streaming platforms. In a statement, A Boogie says his decision to reteam with Kodak came after he got some reviews on the track.
“After I made this record, everyone I played it for said it felt like the sequel to ‘Drowning,'” he explained. “So it was only right that I had Kodak jump on this to make another classic record.”
“Drowning” garnered nearly 2 billion streams globally and stayed on the Billboard Hot 100 for nearly 30 weeks. The sequel is on his upcoming album, ME VS MYSELF, which features 22 tracks: half under the name A Boogie and half under Artist, the rapper’s first name. Roddy Ricch, Lil Durk, H.E.R., Tory Lanez and G.Herbo will also make guest appearances on the project, due out on Friday.
A Boogie is planning to celebrate the album with a sold-out show at New York City’s Apollo Theater, set for December 16. Due to high demand, he’ll also take the stage on March 4 during a show at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
