Alabama Shakes announces 10th anniversary ‘Boys & Girls’ reissue

Alabama Shakes has announced a deluxe reissue of their debut album, Boys & Girls, in honor of its 10th anniversary.

The expanded collection is due out December 9 and includes a bonus disc capturing a live radio session.

Boys & Girls was originally released in April, 2012 and spawned the Grammy-nominated single “Hold On.” The album’s success also earned Alabama Shakes a nomination for Best New Artist.

Alabama Shakes followed Boys & Girls with 2015’s Sound & Color, which remains the band’s most recent album due to their ongoing hiatus. Frontwoman Brittany Howard has since pursued a solo career, releasing her debut album, Jaime, in 2019.
