As Corn Kid is having a viral internet moment, Blake Shelton picked up the clip to show off his version of the song “It’s Corn.”
For the uninitiated, corn started having a moment on social media after Julian Shapiro-Barnum, who produces the video interview series Recess Therapy, posted a clip of a young boy who just loves corn.
Holding an ear of corn, the boy says, “Ever since I was told that corn is real, it tasted good,” and “When I tried it with butter, everything changed.”
The viral video, which racked up 16 million views, has since been remixed into a song, further exploding Corn Kid’s internet popularity. But he’s not the first to realize just how good corn is, and Blake reminded fans that he’s got his own long, proud history of loving corn with a remix of the song that features his own: “Corn.”
