Pavement is partying like it’s 1999 with a new video for the band’s song “Harness Your Hopes.”
The clip stars Yellowjackets and The Book of Boba Fett actor Sophie Thatcher as she tries to solve a Pavement-related mystery. You can watch it now streaming on YouTube.
“Harness Your Hopes” was originally a B-side off Pavement’s 1999 Spit on a Stranger EP. It’s being released now ahead of the EP’s upcoming vinyl reissue, due out April 8. Not only that, but “Harness Your Hopes” has become an unlikely TikTok sensation, and has even inspired a viral dance challenge.
Along with Spit on a Stranger, Pavement’s last album, 1999’s Terror Twilight, is also getting the reissue treatment. A deluxe, expanded version of the record drops April 8, as well.
Pavement will launch a U.S. tour in September.
