The 1975 will be the ambassador for this year’s edition of Record Store Day UK.

As with the U.S. version, the United Kingdom’s Record Store Day offers limited and exclusive vinyl pieces, available exclusively at independent record stores.

“The guys and I are really proud to be ambassadors for Record Store Day this year,” says frontman Matty Healy. “Independent record stores are the lifeblood of the music industry and have played a crucial role in our story so far. It couldn’t be more important to support their vital community and culture.”

As part of their ambassadorship, The 1975 will be releasing a vinyl version of their 2016 live performance accompanied by the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra.

Record Store Day in the U.S. and the U.K. takes place April 22. Americana power couple Jason Isbell and Amanda Shires will be the ambassadors for the U.S. version.
