Thrice announces rerecorded ‘The Artist in the Ambulance’ album & anniversary tour

Thrice is celebrating the 20th anniversary of The Artist in the Ambulance in a big way.

The California rockers have announced a rerecorded version of their 2003 breakout effort, which spawned the single “All That’s Left.” The collection includes updated versions of each song off the original record and features guests such as Sam Carter of Architects.

The Artist in the Ambulance – Revisited is out now on digital outlets and is available to preorder on vinyl.

“At the end of the day, what we wanted the record to sound like for fans is that somehow one of their old favorite records got a new lease on life, but that it hadn’t lost its soul or turned into something else,” says frontman Dustin Kensrue. “We hope you enjoy revisiting The Artist in the Ambulance.”

Additionally, Thrice has announced a 20th anniversary The Artist in the Ambulance tour, during which they’ll play the album in full. The outing begins May 18 in San Diego and will cross the U.S. before wrapping up back in California on June 23 in Anaheim.
