New Order‘s 1985 album Low-Life is widely considered to be one of the new wave legends’ best releases —and now a “definitive edition” of the album is coming January 27.

Available as a two-CD/two-DVD/one-LP boxed set, the release includes a hardbound book featuring new interviews with all the band members, plus rare and unreleased material and new sleeve designs. The DVDs are comprised of live performances from Tokyo, Belgium and The Netherlands, as well as a BBC appearance filmed at Manchester’s legendary Hacienda club in 1985.

In addition to the boxed set, New Order is also releasing some 12-inch singles of tracks from Low-Life, including a limited-edition version of “The Perfect Kiss” on clear vinyl in a mirror sleeve.

Among the best-known tracks on Low-Life are “Love Vigilantes,” “Sub-culture” and “The Perfect Kiss.” From the definitive edition, a version of the latter track described as a “writing session recording” is now available to listen to on streaming platforms.
