Matt Maeson has released a new song called “Blood Runs Red.”

“‘Blood Runs Red’ is a song about being a successful artist and the narcissistic tendencies that come along with it,” the “Cringe” artist explains. “I toured for three years straight and received copious amounts of validation but when that ends and you go home, you’re left with yourself and who you’ve become while everyone else around you has remained the same.”

You can listen to “Blood Runs Red” now via digital outlets. Its accompanying video is streaming now on YouTube.

“Blood Runs Red” follows Maeson’s 2021 one-off single “Nelsonwood Lane.” His most recent album is his 2019 debut Bank on the Funeral, which spawned the singles “Cringe” and “Hallucinogenics.”

Maeson is launching an acoustic tour May 29 in Memphis, Tennessee. You can also catch him perform at Delaware’s Firefly Festival in September.
