Bruce Springsteen was often seen on the New Jersey set of the upcoming movie Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere, and he tells Rolling Stone that while he enjoyed his time there, it wasn’t always easy seeing his life acted out in front of him.

Springsteen is played by Jeremy Allen White in the film, and Bruce says of being on set, “I’m sure it was  much worse for the actor than for me.”

“Jeremy Allen White was very, very tolerant of me the days that I would appear on the set,” he shares. “I said to him, ‘Look, anytime I’m in the way, just give me the look and I’m on my way home.’ So the days that I got out there, he was wonderfully tolerant with me being there. And it was just fun. It was enjoyable.”

Bruce does say there was “some unusualness” watching the film being made “because the movie involves, in some ways, some of the most painful days of my life. But it was a great project.”

He says White and Jeremy Strong, who plays his manager, Jon Landau, are “both fantastic, terrific in it as were all the other actors.” Springsteen adds that Stephen Graham, who plays his dad, is “out of this world” and that everyone involved in the film “were all tremendous.”

But Springsteen wasn’t always around for the more emotional scenes. He says, “If there was a scene coming up that was sometimes really deeply personal, I wanted the actors to feel completely free, and I didn’t want to get in the way, and so I would just stay at home.”

Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere follows The Boss’ efforts to make his 1982 solo album Nebraska. It hits theaters Oct. 24.

Bryce Dallas Howard opens up about her childhood trauma with safety on film sets

Bryce Dallas Howard is opening up about the childhood trauma that keeps safety front of her mind while on film sets.

While promoting her new film, Deep Cover, Howard’s co-stars Orlando Bloom and Nick Mohammed said the actress was “always looking out for our safety and well-being” while on set.

When asked why that was a priority, Howard said, “Interestingly enough, it came from childhood trauma.”

“Everybody really does their best to make sure that it’s safe. But every once in a while, something happens. And so there have been a handful of days where I was there, where things have happened, when I was young,” Howard said.

Those incidents have caused her to “obsessively think about, ‘OK, what could have been different?'” Howard said.

She has questions about specific instances she remembers from sets of the past.

“What fell apart that that person ended up in the ocean? What fell apart that that chair fell on their head from three stories above?” Howard said. “What went wrong in terms of infrastructure? Because movie making is a military infrastructure.”

Howard says that infrastructure includes “a hierarchy where there’s a general at top and everyone else are kind of soldiers. And if you’re told to do something, you do it and you don’t question it. And that is when safety becomes an issue.”

“I am definitely a little hypervigilant about that stuff,” Howard said.

How did that translate on the set of Deep Cover?

“Bryce has just always got health and safety right at the forefront of her mind,” Mohammed said. “There were times when we were doing night shoots where Bryce is literally shoveling gravel for the crew to make sure they don’t slip on the surface, which is absolutely fine, by the way. Hypervigilant and in the most brilliant possible way.”

Charlie Sheen is telling his own story.

The actor has announced his upcoming memoir, The Book of Sheen, which will be published by Gallery Books on Sept. 9.

Sheen wrote the memoir himself. It covers his childhood spent on film sets with his father, Martin Sheen; his early fame in projects like Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and Spin City; and his eventual controversy-ridden time coping with divorces on drugs while starring on Two and a Half Men.

Sheen said he’s happy to be able to tell his stories from his own perspective.

“My stories have been told for far too long through the eyes and pens of others,” he said in a press release. “I think you’ll agree, it’s time to finally read these stories directly from the actual guy.”

Jennifer Bergstrom, the senior vice president and publisher of Gallery Books, spoke about acquiring Sheen’s memoir.

“Of all the Hollywood bad boys in history, Charlie Sheen might be the baddest of them all,” Bergstrom said. “Now nearly eight years sober, Charlie writes candidly of every detox, retox, drug deal, and adventure along his challenging journey to freedom. We are so proud to share his story. His talent as an actor is now matched as a writer on every page.”

The Book of Sheen is available for preorder now. It will also be available as an audiobook, which Sheen narrates.

The gang is back in the official trailer for It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia season 17.

Rob McElhenney stars alongside Charlie Day, Glenn Howerton, Kaitlin Olson and Danny DeVito in the trailer for the 17th season of the series.

This time around, the gang will cross over with the cast of Abbott Elementary for brand-new hijinks in an episode told from the It’s Always Sunny cast’s point of view. The gang previously appeared on an episode of Abbott Elementary‘s fourth season.

Additionally, the trailer finds DeVito’s character, Frank, starring in a season of The Golden Bachelor.

“Philadelphia: the birthplace of our nation. Could it be the birthplace of a new love?” real-life The Bachelor host Jesse Palmer says in the trailer.

We then see DeVito standing next to Palmer outside the Bachelor mansion as limos pull up carrying hopeful contestants vowing for Frank’s heart.

“Seventeen seasons on, Ronald ‘Mac’ MacDonald, Charlie Kelly, Dennis Reynolds, Dee Reynolds and Frank Reynolds return to shamelessly shed their ‘niche’ label for grander aspirations,” the season’s official description reads. “They’ll exploit cross-network promotion to increase market share; they’ll scapegoat one of their own to avoid a PR backlash; they’ll risk everything for a handshake with the Saudis; they’ll bend the laws with side hustles to pad their pockets and they’ll change everything about themselves to appeal to a broader audience.”

Season 17 of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia premieres with its first two episodes July 9 on FXX. It will stream the next day on Hulu.

Disney is the parent company of ABC News, FXX and Hulu.

Jonathan Bailey isn’t planning on leaving Bridgerton anytime soon.

The actor said he wants to continue as a supporting character on the show even as his own star rises in a cover story for The Hollywood Reporter released on Wednesday.

“I’ve never been someone who’s like, ‘Thanks, bye.’ It’s not in my nature,” Bailey said.

Bridgerton revolves around the romantic lives of the titular family. The Netflix period drama tells the stories of “the eight close-knit siblings of the Bridgerton family” as they “look for love and happiness in London high society,” according to its official logline.

Each season revolves around a different Bridgerton sibling. Bailey’s character, Anthony Bridgerton, was the lead in season 2. With season 4 on its way in 2026, Bailey says he feels a sense of pride in continuing to be there for the show as the story needs him to be.

“There’s a real sense of brotherly pride I feel in it,” Bailey said. “I was filming a wedding on a Monday morning. … People know that people get married in Bridgerton — that’s not a spoiler, right?”

Even though Bailey acknowledges the possibly of a future season not working out with his busy schedule, he looks forward to watching his Bridgerton co-stars continue to shine.

“I look forward to, in another however many years, when we’ve done the eighth season to sit around and be like, ‘Look what we all did together,’” Bailey said.

He also understands the show from the fan perspective.

“I know how much I love long-running series,” Bailey said. “I know how important familiarity of character and story and consistency is in these long-running series.”

Chef Anne Burrell, best known as the longtime co-host of Food Network’s Worst Cooks in America, has died. She was 55. Her representatives confirmed her death to ABC News.

According to police, Burrell was found “unconscious and unresponsive” inside her Brooklyn home just before 8 a.m. Tuesday. An autopsy to determine the cause of her death will be performed, the Office of Chief Medical Examiner said.

In a statement, Burrell’s family remembered her as “a beloved wife, sister, daughter, stepmother, and friend.”

“Her smile lit up every room she entered,” the statement read. “Anne’s light radiated far beyond those she knew, touching millions across the world. Though she is no longer with us, her warmth, spirit, and boundless love remain eternal.”

Food Network also honored the late chef in a separate statement.

“Anne was a remarkable person and culinary talent — teaching, competing and always sharing the importance of food in her life and the joy that a delicious meal can bring,” the network stated. “Our thoughts are with Anne’s family, friends and fans during this time of tremendous loss.”

Born Sept. 21, 1969, in Cazenovia, New York, Burrell developed a passion for cooking early on, inspired by her mother’s home-cooked meals and TV icon Julia Child.

She earned a degree in English and Communications from Canisius College in Buffalo, New York, before pursuing her culinary education at the Culinary Institute of America, graduating in 1996.

She went on to study in Italy at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners, where she honed her love for Italian cuisine through apprenticeships across the country.

Upon returning to the U.S. in 1998, Burrell worked as a sous chef at Felidia in Manhattan under Lidia Bastianich and later led the kitchen at Savoy in SoHo. She then transitioned to teaching at the Institute of Culinary Education for over three years.

She later returned to kitchens and began her television career as a sous chef on Iron Chef America, eventually landing her own Emmy-nominated show, Secrets of a Restaurant Chef, which ran for nine seasons.

Burrell became a staple on Food Network, appearing in shows including ChoppedChef Wanted and Food Network Star, most recently competing in House of Knives in 2025.

She also authored two cookbooks, including the New York Times bestseller Cook Like a Rock Star.

Burrell is survived by her husband Stuart Claxton, whom she married in October 2021, and his son Javier; her mother Marlene; her sister Jane and Jane’s children IsabellaAmelia, and Nicolas; and her brother Ben.
