Behind every good man is a good woman — just ask Michael Jai White. He wrote, produced and starred in the new movie Trouble Man, but not without his wife’s feedback. Gillian White tells ABC Audio she had a lot of input before the release.

“He talks to me about so many aspects of the film and asks for my advice or my ideas or anything that I can help with,” she says. “I think he thinks I’m a pretty smart woman, so I think he respects my ideas and my input. But yeah, we’re a team. So we tend to work together on every project.”

Michael cosigned, noting there’s “not even a little bit” of concern about mixing his professional life with his private one.

“If you have your best friend working beside you, somebody who is smarter than you in a lot of ways, I mean, it all is for the gain,” he says of working with Gillian. “In fact, if she weren’t with me, I’d have a lot more stress.”

Now available on streaming platforms, Trouble Man follows the story of Michael’s character, Jaxen, a private investigator hired to help find a missing R&B star. Gillian plays his former flame Gina, with whom he later rekindles a relationship.

Much of the first part of the new season of Wednesday revolves around our pigtailed protagonist trying to figure out why her psychic powers are glitching, and there’s a lot of talk about how she needs a new “spirit guide” to help her solve the problem. Well, in the new trailer for the second part of the season, problem solved.

In the trailer we see that Wednesday’s in the hospital, in a coma following the events of part one. She wakes to find none other than Gwendoline Christie‘s Principal Weems — who died in the first season — in her hospital room. She’s not back from the dead but, surprise, she is Wednesday’s new spirit guide.

Also in the trailer, Wednesday finally tells her roommate Enid that she’s in danger from Tyler aka the monstrous Hyde, who escaped from the mental hospital in part one. There are also showdowns, explosions, dancing and even a little tease of the much-talked-about appearance of Lady Gaga.

Unseen in part one, the pop superstar is set to play Rosaline Rotwood, a “legendary teacher” at Nevermore, in part two. We don’t see her, but we hear her voice saying, “Beware. There will be a price to pay.”

The new episodes arrive Sept. 3. According to Variety, part one scored 50 million views in its first five days of streaming.

Sarah Jessica Parker isn’t reading what you’re writing about Carrie Bradshaw.

The actress told People in a recent interview that she doesn’t keep up with the fan reactions to new episodes of And Just Like That…, the Sex and the City sequel series.

“Never,” Parker said. “I don’t have the constitution for that, because I think you’re going to perhaps read things or hear things that don’t always feel great.”

That being said, she does understand that fan communities will have their own feelings about the shows they love.

“When you’re part of a community, people are going to have a lot of feelings. And it doesn’t mean that a feeling can’t change, it’s a reaction. We want very much for people to have all those feelings, and it’s not for us to police or try to correct them,” Parker said.

The actress said this has all added up to make her “a very inexperienced troller.”

“I think that conversation is better left not in any way witnessed or babysat by me,” she said.

The series finale of And Just Like That… airs Thursday on HBO Max.

“I’m off my meds for five months now,” Ye begins in the new trailer for In Whose Name?, a documentary that shows the “raw, unfiltered” side of his life with bipolar disorder, according to the film’s YouTube description.

The trailer released Wednesday shows Ye’s mental decline and its effect on his marriage to ex-wife Kim Kardashian, who tells him, “Your personality was not like this a few years ago.”

The preview also shows Ye experiencing a few mental breakdowns, and discussing his faith and his anti-medication stance.

In Whose Name? marks the directorial debut of 18-year-old Nicolas Ballesteros, who followed Ye over the last few years as he coped with mental health struggles, capturing 3,000 hours of raw footage.

“What began as a silent observation evolved into a profound journey of artistic and personal growth,” the synopsis of the documentary reads. “In the end, Ballesteros captured not just a portrait of Ye but a reflection of the human condition in all its contradictions.”

The film also gives a “rare insight into the realities of mental illness and its impact on identity, perception, and power,” as well as the way it’s “handled – or left unspoken – among the weight of visibility and vulnerability.”

It “reveals a side of Ye the world was never meant to see – raw, unfiltered, and suspended in the complexity of fame, faith, mental health, and power,” the synopsis concludes.

The trailer for In Whose Name? is now available to watch on YouTube; the film arrives on Sept. 19.

Zoë Kravitz details how she ‘destroyed’ Taylor Swift’s bathroom thanks to a pet snake

Taylor Swift and Zoë Kravitz are pals, but we bet when Taylor invited Zoë and her mom, Lisa Bonet, to stay at her place, she didn’t expect it would result in the destruction of her bathroom.

Appearing on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Zoë explained that when people were being evacuated due to the LA wildfires in January, Taylor invited her and Bonet to stay at her home in the area, because she wasn’t there at the time. When Bonet arrived, Zoë noted that she’d brought along her pet snake, Orpheus

After two weeks there, Zoë said she was packing up to leave when her mom called her in a panic and asked her to come upstairs. It turns out the snake had disappeared into a hole next to a built-in banquette in the bathroom. Bonet grabbed the snake’s tail and tried to pull her out, but couldn’t.

“The snake is getting further and further in. … I was panicking so much,” Zoë told Seth. Finally, the house manager came to the rescue, with a crowbar.

“[He] starts having to tear apart this banquette, we’re ripping up the tile, we’re scratching the walls,” she continued. “Me and my mom are both holding the snake, completely destroyed Taylor’s bathroom.” Meyers actually showed a photo of the comical scene.

Zoë told the house manager she’d pay for everything and asked him not to say anything to Taylor.

“I remember calling her and saying, ‘Hey … I wanted to talk to you about something,'” said Zoë.

To which Taylor replied, “Is it the fact that you almost lost a snake in my house and destroyed my bathroom?”

Meyers cracked, “I feel like that snake’s gonna get at least three songs on the next album.”
