Other performers include Jordin Sparks, Gloria Estefan, Paula Abdul, Trombone Shorty, Ziggy Marley, Joss Stone, Kirk Franklin, Cam and Betty Who.

Bring Me the Horizon is bringing in some My Chemical Romance influence.
In a new video recapping their recent U.S. tour, the U.K. rockers shared a brief preview of some new material. During one particular snippet, frontman Oli Sykes comments that the tune sounds “My Chem-y.”
“Let’s do it the Gerard Way,” he punnily adds.
Perhaps Sykes and company were inspired to follow the “Gerard Way” after playing with MCR at the When We Were Young festival.
Bring Me the Horizon has been working on new music to follow the band’s 2020 EP Post Human: Survival Horror. Since then, they’ve released two one-off singles, “sTraNgeRs” and “DiE4u.”
Over three years ago, Almost Famous writer/director Cameron Crowepromised Jimmy Fallon that when his musical adaptation of the film opened on Broadway, that Fallon had an open invitation to reprise his role as Dennis Hope, the future manager of the film’s fictitious band, Stillwater. And Crowe made good on that offer on Tuesday’s Tonight Show.
“My dream has always been to have you come and be the link between the two casts, the cast of the musical…and the movie, Crowe shared. “So, I would like you to come on the Broadway stage and play your part again of Dennis Hope.”
“I’m in,” Fallon exclaimed.
It’s not clear when and how often Fallon will appear, but he’s already grown a beard to be ready at a moment’s notice.
Fallon isn’t the only special guest performer. Crowe told Deadline that MSNBC journalist John Heilemann has expressed interest in making occasional appearances as David Felton, the Rolling Stone reporter played in the film by Rainn Wilson. No dates have been announced as yet, but it reportedly will happen.
The stage roles of Hope and the reporter are usually played respectively by Jakeim Hart and Van Hughes.
Almost Famous is based in part on Crowe’s time as a teen reporter for Rolling Stone in the 1970s. Currently in previews, the Broadway musical officially opens Thursday, November 3.

It compiles footage from several shows on the tour, set to audio from an August stop in Minneapolis.

A pair of John Lennon’s trademark round, wire-frame ‘granny’ glasses and a Cadillac convertible once owned by Neil Young are among the many items going under the hammer at Julien’s Auctions’ Icons & Idols: Rock ‘n’ Roll auction the weekend of November 11-13 at the Hard Rock Café in New York City.
The gold-tone glasses, which Julien’s says have been photo-matched to confirm that the late Beatles member actually wore them, is estimated to sell for between $60,000-$80,000. If you’re a rock and roll gear head with deep pockets, expect to pay between $100,000 to $150,000 for a sky-blue 1949 Cadillac Series 62 convertible once owned by Young, and only 8,000 of which were ever produced.
Other items to be offered at the auction include a grand piano personally owned and used by BobDylan at his Woodstock, New York home ($50,000-$70,000); a studio-played 1968 Fender Precision bass guitar owned by CreedenceClearwaterRevival’s StuCook, used to record CCR classics including “Bad Moon Rising” and “Fortunate Son” ($30,000 – $50,000); and a “one-of-a-kind black and yellow Charvel EVH art series guitar,” signed and played by EddieVanHalen during a an April 17, 2008 concert in Reno, Nevada ($40,000 – $60,000).
The item with the highest pre-sale estimate, however, is a signed 1973 Fender Mustang guitar that Kurt Cobain played — and subsequently smashed — during Nirvana‘s first-ever U.S. tour in 1989. Expect that to sell for between $200,000 and $400,000. Julien’s previously auctioned Cobain’s 1959 Martin D-18E guitar, which he famously played during Nirvana’s MTV Unplugged performance, for a record-breaking $6 million.
Memorabilia from the Rolling Stones, Guns N’ Roses, Heart’s Nancy Wilson, David Gilmour, GeneSimmons, Meat Loaf,AC/DC, Bon Jovi, NikkiSixx and more will also be offered at the auction.
Christmas has come early for Mariah Carey. The artist who claimed he had dibs on the song title “All I Want For Christmas Is You” has withdrawn his copyright lawsuit.
Andy Stone — better known by his stage name Vince Vance — had sued Mariah and her song’s co-writer, Walter Afanasieff, in June. He’d claimed they infringed on his copyright because he wrote a song with the same exact title five years before Mariah unleashed her Christmas classic. He had sought $20 million in damages.
Billboardreports lawyers representing Stone requested to voluntarily dismiss the lawsuit on Tuesday. A reason was not provided. Despite the dismissal, Stone still has the opportunity to refile his suit — should he choose — at a later time.
Music insiders deemed the suit over “All I Want For Christmas Is You” a head-scratcher because there were no similarities found in the melodies or lyrics of the two songs. It was unclear how the matter would have played out in court.
It should also be noted that while Mariah does have the most popular version of “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” there are dozens of other songs using the same exact title registered with the U.S. Copyright Office.
Representatives for Stone nor Mariah have commented on the legal matter.
Following Tuesday’s shooting death of Migos rapper Takeoff, his record label Quality Control released a statement.

“Please respect his family and friends and we all continue to process this monumental loss,” the post concluded.
Takeoff was fatally shot at 810 Billiards & Bowling in Houston, Texas after an argument at a private party. He was 28.
Police said at a press conference Tuesday that the suspect or suspects are still at large.
Gabby Barrett and husband Cade Foehner are giving back this holiday season.
The couple has announced that they will host their first Christmas fundraiser, The Giving For Good Show, on December 17 in Cade’s home state of Texas in Nacogdoches.
Gabby says it will be an “intimate show” with just her and her husband performing. Proceeds from the show will go toward purchasing toys for organizations that support children in need. This year’s beneficiaries are St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and GraceWorks Ministries.
“Children in need are heavily on our hearts, all year round. We are so excited to start this,” Gabby says.
The singer adds that this will be a yearly tradition. Tickets are on sale now.
Marvel Studios has released a new featurette promoting its November 11 release Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and it centers on the movie’s antagonist, Namor.
The character, which made his comics debut in 1939, gets an origin makeover for the film. Instead of being the King of Atlantis, actor Tenoch Huerta‘s anti-hero rules the Aztec-inspired hidden undersea nation of Talokan and sets his sights on the surface world.
“Introducing Namor was really an opportunity to introduce another sovereign ruler of a group of people,” co-writer and director Ryan Coogler hints about the super-powerful mutant.
Huerta offers, “Talokan has a big meaning for me. It’s part of my personal heritage as a Mexican, as an inhabitant of Mesoamerica. Finally, I could find a more powerful representation of my culture with dignity and respect.”
Letitia Wright, who plays Princess Shuri, teases, “I cannot wait for people to see Talokan. I’m excited about how we’re going to see the world come alive.”
Angela Bassett, Wakanda’s Queen Ramonda, later says she “gets chills just thinking about” her face-off with the rival leader.
Marvel Studios is owned by Disney, the parent company of ABC Audio.
